In a televised interview cited by Mehr News Agency, Mohajerani stated that Iran's armed forces and missile capabilities are ready to protect the nation and support its interests amidst current regional tensions. She reaffirmed Tehran's claim over the Strait of Hormuz, a key strategic point for global oil transportation, and described it as fundamental to Iran's security, according to information from Xinhua reported by Agencia Noticias Argentinas. Regarding the delegation that will travel to Pakistan Separately, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, will lead the negotiating team that will meet with US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, reported Iran's Student News Agency on Wednesday. The talks will take place on Friday, according to the report, which indicates that Iran's proposed 10-point framework will cover not only the nuclear program but also regional security. And he added that his decision is “subject to” Iran accepting the complete, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz. What Iran said Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, promised safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz during the two-week ceasefire under “coordination” with Iran's armed forces, and stated that Iran will cease “defensive operations” if attacks against it cease. The statement indicates that Sharif held a telephone conversation with Pezeshkian on Wednesday, during which he expressed his profound gratitude to the Iranian leadership for accepting the ceasefire and Pakistan's offer to host the Iran-US negotiations in Islamabad at the end of this week.
