Iran has interrupted the navigation of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz following Israel's attack on Lebanon, in which dozens of people have died, according to Iranian media. 'The passage of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz has been stopped following Israel's attacks on Lebanon,' reported the Fars agency, linked to the Revolutionary Guard. According to Fars, this morning Iran allowed two tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz 'without problems' after a two-week ceasefire was established. However, Lebanon was not included in this temporary truce agreement, and in fact, the Israeli army launched its 'largest attack' in Lebanon since the war began, causing 'dozens' of deaths and 'hundreds' of injuries, according to the Lebanese government. Additionally, Iran has denounced several violations of the agreement with attacks on its territory at a refinery on Lavan Island, located in the Persian Gulf, and also with the interception of a drone in the city of Lar, promising a 'firm and forceful response.' According to the American newspaper Wall Street Journal, Iran is also conditioning its participation in the talks this Friday in Islamabad on a ceasefire also being implemented in Lebanon. US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Israel's attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon are a separate 'skirmish' from the war fought alongside the Jewish state against Iran, and are therefore not part of the temporary ceasefire reached last night. When asked in a telephone interview with PBS radio if he was aware of the massive Israeli bombings launched today without warning against Beirut, Trump replied: 'Yes, they (Hezbollah) were not included in the agreement'.
