GENEVA (Reuters) - The U.N. human rights office urged on Tuesday what it described as the forces behind the deadly attack on a girls' school in Iran to investigate the incident and provide information, without specifying who it believed was responsible. Ravina Shamdasani, a spokeswoman for the U.N. human rights office, said at a press conference in Geneva: "The High Commissioner (Volker Türk) calls for a prompt, impartial and thorough investigation into the circumstances of the attack." She added: "This is horrific in every sense of the word," adding that images circulating on social media reflect "the essence of the devastation, despair, absurdity and brutality of this attack." The burden of the investigation lies with the forces that carried out the attack, she said.
