Iran Launches Counterattacks Against Israel Following Tehran Strike

In response to Israeli-American attacks, Iran launched several waves of missile and drone attacks against Israel and US bases in the region. US Central Command declared on Sunday that three US military personnel were killed and five others were seriously injured during its military operation against Iran. Several US warplanes crashed in Kuwait. Several US warplanes crashed on Monday morning, although all crew members survived, the Kuwaiti ministry reported in a statement posted on social media X. Smoke was also seen near the US Embassy in Kuwait in another report from that nation. Saudi Arabia reported the attack on a refinery. The Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia stated on Monday that the attack on the Ras Tanura refinery did not affect the supply of petroleum products to local markets. The oil refinery in Ras Tanura, owned by the state-owned oil giant Aramco, suffered limited damage due to debris from the interception of two drones in its vicinity, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran reported on Monday in a statement that in its tenth wave of missile attacks, it targeted the Israeli government complex, including the Prime Minister's Office and the headquarters of the air force. An Iranian military command also reported that Iran shot down three US fighter jets, according to the country's state television and radio company. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, emphasized that the country will not negotiate with the United States, according to Xinhua cables cited by the Argentine News Agency. Larijani made these statements in a post on X in response to a Wall Street Journal report claiming he seeks to return to the negotiating table with the United States. On Saturday morning, the United States and Israel launched joint attacks against the Iranian capital, Tehran, and several other cities, killing the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, along with several other people, including some of the leader's family members, high-ranking military officials, and civilians. In another post, Larijani stated that US President Donald Trump has plunged the region into chaos with his 'false hopes' and is now more concerned about casualties among US forces. 'Today, the Iranian nation is defending itself.' 'Reckless actions' 'With his reckless actions, Trump has turned his 'America First' motto into 'Israel First' and sacrificed American soldiers in pursuit of Israel's power,' Larijani declared. The incident comes amid heightened tensions following an attack. The incident caused a limited fire, which was immediately contained by emergency response teams. The ministry reported no injuries or deaths, and some operational units of the refinery were closed as a precaution.
