Tehran, AFP — Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei confirmed on Friday that the Islamic Republic «will not back down» in the face of «saboteurs» and «rioters», as protests continue for the second week. In his second speech since the protests began, Khamenei attacked US President Donald Trump.

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on the fifth anniversary of protests that swept the country, stated that the authorities are ready to suppress any unrest. He also accused Western countries of supporting the protesters.
