Iranian Nuclear Organization Chief Mohammad Eslami warned that the country will adopt 'immediate measures' regarding its nuclear program, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Iran to Take Immediate Measures in Nuclear Affairs

The guide of the Iranian agency for atomic energy Mohammadi Islam warned on Thursday that the country would adopt "unconventional measures" if the European Union cannot protect the Iranian nuclear deal. In an interview with the state television of Islam, he stated: "If the Eurozone cannot protect the plan for actions on the nuclear deal, Iran will be forced to adopt unconventional measures."

According to him, Iran has already begun preparations for these actions. At the beginning of this week, the head of the Iranian MID Mohammadi Javad Zarif announced that Iran is starting to increase its reserves of low-enriched uranium and heavy water, used in nuclear production. It is reported that this is happening due to recent actions of the USA regarding Iranian oil export revenues, which are key points of the 2015 deal.

The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that Iran began to increase its uranium and heavy water reserves. Such actions by the country are considered a violation of the agreement, however, Iran claims that its actions are a response to the actions of the USA and the absence of actions from the other countries participating in the deal.
