Iran Denies Regional Attacks During Ceasefire

Iran's Revolutionary Guard denies attacks during the ceasefire, while Kuwait and Saudi Arabia report new incidents, jeopardizing the fragile agreement.

Iran Denies Regional Attacks During Ceasefire

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has confirmed that the country's armed forces have not launched any attacks on regional countries since the ceasefire agreement with the US was reached last Tuesday. In a statement picked up by the Iranian Fars agency, the Islamic Republic's elite force stated that if the Army attacks any target, it will be officially and 'boldly' announced. This message comes after Kuwait, a frequent target of Iranian attacks since the conflict began, reported intercepting drones and missiles in recent hours heading towards the country's energy infrastructure. Saudi Arabia's state news agency SPA also reported attacks on energy installations hours earlier that resulted in one death. The Revolutionary Guard added that if these reports are true, 'they are the work of the enemy,' referring to Israel and the United States. The fragile ceasefire reached almost two days ago between Iran and Tehran remains at risk due to disagreements over Lebanon's position in the conflict and its inclusion in the deal, while the start of negotiations between the two parties, scheduled for this Friday in Islamabad, Pakistan, is still up in the air.
