Iran has rejected any negotiations with the United States and emphasized that the country will not reach any agreement with the U.S. government, according to the official IRNA news agency. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Iran's main military command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, made these statements in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's claims that Tehran is negotiating with the United States and seeking an agreement to end the war. In this regard, Zolfaghari indicated that if the United States, which "claims to be the world's superpower," had been able to free itself from the situation it is in, it would have done so already. Furthermore, he urged the United States to stop disguising its defeat as an "agreement," adding that "the strategic power boasted by the enemies has turned into a strategic defeat." "The United States is negotiating with itself due to its internal conflicts," Zolfaghari stated, and warned that the United States will not be able to invest in West Asia or see energy and oil prices return to previous levels until it understands that stability in the region is guaranteed by the Iranian armed forces. The spokesman assured that if the situation can return to what it was in the past, it depends on Iran's will, and added that normality will only be restored when the United States completely removes from its mind the idea of "taking measures against the Iranian nation." On Monday, Trump stated that Washington had held talks with Iran and that both sides had "significant points of agreement." On Tuesday night, the Associated Press reported that Washington had delivered a 15-point plan to Iran for a one-month ceasefire agreement.
