An Iranian source confirmed on Saturday that a number of Revolutionary Guard commanders and officials were killed in US-Israeli air strikes on the country, vowing a major and decisive response. Israeli media reported security estimates indicating that several high-ranking Iranian officials were killed in the joint air strikes carried out by Israeli and American forces. Israeli Channel 12 reported that there is a "high probability" that Ali Shamkhani, adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was killed. The Israel Hayom newspaper cited estimates stating that the attack resulted in the elimination of at least three prominent officials in Iran's command structure: Revolutionary Guard commander Mohammad Bakpur, Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasershad, and head of military intelligence Saleh Asdi.
