Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, announced that the transitional period following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Israeli-American strikes begins this Sunday. Larijani stated: "A temporary leadership council will be formed soon, and the President, Head of the Judiciary, and a cleric from the Guardian Council will take responsibility until the next leader is elected". He added: "We have been working on forming this council since today, and it will be established as soon as possible".
