Tehran, December 22. — Iran conducted a test launch of several missiles in different parts of the country on Monday, the semi-official news agency Fars reported. The agency added that the missiles were tested in Isfahan, Khorramabad, Mahabad, Mashhad, and Tehran, without providing further details. Hours earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, Amir Hatami, made nearly reckless but also enigmatic statements, according to information handled by Agencia Noticias Argentinas. He stated that his forces are always prepared to face any threat, including asymmetric and irregular warfare, according to the official news agency IRNA. During a visit to army units stationed in western Iran, Hatami added: "We closely monitor every move of the enemy and will respond decisively to any malicious action".
