Iran Rejects Diplomatic Proposals

On Thursday, the Iranian minister of foreign affairs, Abbas Araqchi, rejected proposals regarding the possible resumption of negotiations between Tehran and Washington. During a briefing, Araqchi stated that no negotiations between Iran and the USA have been scheduled yet. "We have not found any markers for starting a dialogue with the United States," Araqchi told journalists. According to him, such conversations are only possible if the United States is ready to change its policy and actions regarding Iran. "If the United States corrects its actions, Iran is ready for dialogue without problems," Araqchi added. The minister emphasized that for Iran, the most important thing is the proper implementation of the South Asian nuclear deal. "We are obliged to do everything possible to protect Iran's interests in this agreement," Araqchi noted.
