Yesterday, on Friday, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi stated that his country has "serious concerns" regarding the US negotiations.
Details of the minister's statement were not disclosed, however, he emphasized the importance of dialogue and constructive engagement to address diverging opinions. Araghchi also noted that Iran is ready to continue negotiations with the American side, provided that there is no pressure and within the framework of respecting international norms.
He expressed hope that the new US administration would take steps towards returning to a nuclear deal with Iran, from which the previous administration had withdrawn. "We believe that returning to the Joint Comprehensive Plan would give the possibility to improve relations," said Araghchi.
In light of the increasing tensions between Iran and the US, dialogue and the search for compromises play a key role in preventing further conflicts and finding a peaceful resolution.
