Iran Considers Next Steps at UN

The Iranian representation at the UN stated on Sunday that Tehran will consider the possibility of returning to the implementation of the nuclear deal if the USA lifts sanctions against Iran. "Iran is ready to return to the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) at the moment when the USA lifts all sanctions, including those that were imposed in connection with the JCPOA," the Iranian mission said in a statement. This statement was made after Western countries, including the USA, expressed concern over Iran's plans to increase its nuclear program and violations of the terms of the nuclear deal. Iran continues to insist that its nuclear program is peaceful and does not have military aims. "Our nuclear programs are completely peaceful and do not pose threats to the international community and security," the Iranian representatives noted in a statement on the Twitter site. Reminding this, the Iranian mission called on the international community to deliver to the USA the removal of sanctions imposed on Iran after the departure of the administration of President Donald Trump from the nuclear deal in 2018.
