Yesterday, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araqchi, stated that the country is ready to promptly and decisively respond if its nuclear facilities are subjected to an attack. According to Araqchi, this position was adopted following the assassination of the chief nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, last year, for which Iran blamed Israel and the United States. "We will not wait while our nuclear facilities are attacked," the minister noted. He added that Iran strictly adheres to all its obligations under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), but acknowledged that the country is beginning to confront the inaction of other parties on this matter.
