Iran executed two men on Saturday for belonging to the banned People's Mujahedin of Iran (MEK) and carrying out destabilizing actions aimed at overthrowing the government, following the execution of four other members earlier this week. The information was officially confirmed by Mizan Online, a website of the judiciary, which detailed that "Abolhasan Montazer and Vahid Baniamerian (...) were hanged after a trial and their sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court." Both individuals were found guilty of "attempting rebellion by participating in multiple terrorist acts", as well as being affiliated with the MEK and carrying out sabotage acts to overthrow the current authorities. In the context of the current conflict situation, the authorities have recently executed multiple individuals.
