Iran attacked with missiles and drones several industries linked to the United States and Israel in the occupied territories and other points, in response to the bombings against Iranian steel mills. "The fighters of the Navy and the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps carried out an offensive against several heavy industries belonging to the American-Zionist enemy in the occupied territories (Israel) and other points, managing to destroy part of them through missile and drone attacks," reported the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in a statement, according to the Tasnim agency. The note, which does not detail the sites attacked, indicates that the offensive was carried out in response to recent attacks against Iranian industrial infrastructures, referring to the Friday bombings against the steel mills of Mobarakeh and Khuzestan, the country's main ones, located in the center and west of Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard indicated that these attacks are part of a retaliation strategy against the actions of the United States and Israel against economic and industrial installations in Iran in recent weeks. Likewise, it warned that this type of operation could intensify if attacks against targets in Iranian territory continue. The president of Iran, Masud Pezeshkian, had previously warned that his country would give a firm response to the US-Israeli attacks against Iranian infrastructures and economic centers.
