Buenos Aires, March 6 (NA) — Iraqi Ayatollah Jawad al-Khalisi has issued a fatwa calling for jihad against the United States and Israel in response to Operation Epic Fury, according to Iran's official news agency, IRNA. This religious decree, which calls for an Islamic holy war, comes after calls made the previous day by another ayatollah, Abdollah Javadi Amoli, in Iran for the 'shedding of Trump's blood' in a televised speech. In one of the few clerical pronouncements since the United States began its attack on Iran, Amoli declared: 'We are on the brink of a great trial and we must be careful to fully preserve this unity,' according to the Argentine News Agency. In a video also posted on social media, he called for 'the shedding of Zionist blood, the shedding of Trump's blood' and referred to the fight against 'American oppression'.
