Tehran's Mehrabad Airport on Fire Following Israeli Attacks

The Mehrabad International Airport, located in Tehran, suffered a major fire according to local media this Saturday, following the latest round of attacks by the Israeli Army against the Iranian capital. Being the target of previous bombardments in the preceding days, the airport was on fire at several points early this morning, and thick columns of smoke rose over this airfield, used for domestic and diplomatic flights, according to images broadcast by the local Press TV channel. The airport, as well as the one in the city of Bushehr and Payam in Karaj, were attacked in recent days by the Israeli Air Force to dismantle the defense and detection systems of the Persian nation. This morning's attacks are part of the latest round of strikes focused on Iran's 'infrastructure' in its capital, Tehran, carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). A total of 50 Israeli combat aircraft attacked and destroyed the underground military bunker of the late former leader of the Iranian regime, Ali Khamenei, according to another military report. Khamenei died on Saturday the 28th, along with part of the Iranian military leadership and several hundred other people, with figures rising as the bombings by Washington and Israel continue. Tehran has responded with attacks on Israel, which left ten dead, and on several US military bases and embassies in the region, including Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The Friday bombings come after Tehran experienced its hardest night of attacks on the city center, causing terror, panic, and tears since the start of this war, which enters its eighth day on Saturday.
