Two sources confirmed that these employees left Iran in two batches, on Sunday and Monday, without specifying their number. On Monday evening, a diplomatic source and a Foreign Ministry official confirmed that the non-essential diplomatic staff from the French embassy in Tehran have left the country due to the ongoing protests. The Foreign Ministry stated a restructuring of the embassy «to enable it to carry out its duties in the local context», emphasizing that «the priority is the protection of our staff and citizens».
