Esmail Jafarzadeh, better known as Esmail Rangraz, was an Iranian serial killer who, after being arrested for raping and murdering a 7-year-old girl, confessed that he had previously killed two other women. Born in 1975, Rangraz already had a criminal record that could have foreshadowed what was to come 15 years later. He was arrested after taking a girl to his father's house, but the girl screamed and managed to escape. Later, the girl's father started a fight with him, so the police filed a report, although the girl's family refused to press charges. "I got scared and took the body to the parking lot, where I hid it in a barrel. I wanted to help her, but she started to scream. So I covered her mouth with my hand, and when she came to, she was no longer breathing," Rangraz added. On the day of the incident, I went to my shop to get water, and since there was no one, I approached her. After this incident, the criminal's first wife decided to separate from him. On June 28, 2017, Rangraz murdered Atena Aslani, a 7-year-old Iranian girl from Parsabad, after the girl left her father's dry-cleaning store to go to a nearby shop. The shop owner was none other than the multiple murderer, who, upon being arrested, confessed: "For two or three days, I felt the temptation to see Atena."
